Built for Small Businesses and Nonprofits
Crushing Pixels is a woman-owned, community-fueled web design and branding studio in Gilbert, Arizona.
We’re a team of branding strategists and web designers passionate about helping like-minded small businesses and social impact-driven nonprofits make a statement online.
Our mission is simple: connect you to your audience. We build a brand that actually sounds like you, then back it with a website designed to rank higher on Google and get found by the people you’re trying to reach.
Since 1999
Our Story
We’ve been designing and developing websites since 1999. That means we’ve seen just about every version of “bad website” there is, slow load times, broken navigation, designs that looked dated the day they launched.
Twenty-plus years in, we’ve built the kind of experience that comes only from doing this a long time: we know what actually works, not just what looks good in a mockup.
In 2017, we went from a group of independent freelancers to our own studio, and Crushing Pixels was born. We’ve been building websites and brands that get real results for small businesses and nonprofits ever since.

Optometrist Branding & Web Design Project
“I had my logo, branding, and website done by Crushing Pixels for my new optometry office. Shanda is efficient, creative, and has such a talent for bringing ideas to life. I have gotten so many compliments and have her to thank for it! Shanda, you are amazing! Keep up the great work!”

Shanda Watts
Founder & Creative Director
Meet Shanda – Shanda started Crushing Pixels because she got tired of watching good businesses get overlooked online, not because they weren’t good at what they do, but because their website wasn’t doing its job.
That’s still what drives her. She works with small businesses and nonprofits who’ve been putting off their website for years: patching things together, DIY-ing it, hoping it’s “good enough.” It’s just a matter of building something that actually works, and she loves being the person who makes that happen.
Here’s what you can expect when you work with her: she’s detail-oriented almost to a fault. She cares about getting it right, not just getting it done. And she only takes on projects where she genuinely believes in what her clients are building. That’s not a sales line. It’s the reason she still loves this job.
If your website has been sitting on your to-do list for way too long, let’s talk about what it could actually look like.
